Fabric Overview

Brocade is a jacquard construction — the pattern is woven into the cloth rather than printed onto it — using an ornamented weft of gold or silver zari and coloured resham on a silk or silk-blend ground. Ours are developed in Banaras and Surat and range from tight all-over jaal to bold placement borders. It sits with weight, holds a cut cleanly, and reads as an occasion cloth without needing further ornamentation. Suited to sherwanis, lehenga cholis, structured jackets and formal furnishings.
