Fabric Overview

Blending silk with a second fibre changes both cost and behaviour. Silk-cotton keeps a soft sheen but gains breathability and washability, which makes it the standard choice for everyday premium kurtas. Silk-linen introduces the dry crispness and slub of flax while retaining lustre, and is the usual base for resort and occasion tailoring. Silk-viscose falls heavier and more fluidly than either, and is used where a garment needs weight in the drape. Blend ratios can be specified at the development stage.
