Fabric Overview

India produces silk in more constructions than any other country. Our Indian silk library reflects that: mulberry from Karnataka, tussar from Bhagalpur and Jharkhand, muga from Assam (with its natural golden colour), matka and dupion with characteristic slubs, and Chanderi silk from Madhya Pradesh. Where imported silk is defined by consistency, Indian silk is defined by character — the slight variation in slub, the natural fibre lustre, the regional identity of each construction.
