Fabric Overview

Velvet is a warp-pile fabric — parallel loops cut short to leave a dense upright pile that catches light differently in every direction. That is why a solid velvet reads with more depth than any flat cloth of the same colour. VPAS ANANT carries cotton velvet (matte, softer), viscose velvet (drier hand, cleaner drape) and silk-pile velvet (highest lustre). All are supplied at bridal weight suitable for lehenga cholis, achkans, jackets and structured furnishings.
