Fabric Overview

Embroidery is the layer we add to a base fabric after weaving. VPAS ANANT works with two hand-embroidery karkhanas in Kolkata and Ahmedabad, plus a Schiffli and Barudan machine floor in Surat. Techniques include zardozi (metal wire), aari (chain stitch), resham (silk thread), sequin, cutdana, mirror-work and mixed-media. We build custom motifs, sampling in two weeks, bulk in six to ten depending on density.
