Fabric Overview

This is Chanderi in its plainest form — the featherlight silk-cotton weave from Madhya Pradesh, dyed to a solid colour, without the characteristic zari border or jaal. Designers use it as the base for their own surface work — for printing, hand-block, embroidery — because it takes colour with a subtle luminosity that polyester or plain cotton cannot match, while remaining light enough to gather without bulk.
